Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Excellent product! I love this set. I don't understand how anyone could complain. I have no problem removing the bits with my fingers. Excellent bit hold though, my biggest complaint about other brands is the fact that in my 10 year experience as a professional contractor is that nothing aggrivates me more than driving a 3 to 4 in. screw and moving to the next to find, oh, what's that? Where is my bit? Finally tracing my steps back to the last screw head and 50% of the time it's there or fell out shortly after. I recommend this to everyone, but it's your party, you can cry if you want!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Good product, but needs a little mod I thought the magnetic bit holder was broken until I read the comments here. Turns out, if you remove the little metal ring at the opening of the bit holder, you can pull the bits in and out with ease! Keep the ring and reinstall it when you need the bit holder to have more staying power.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Useless It worked for a while, but then I couldn't take a bit out, no matter WHAT, pliers or not. The bit is on there so good I gave up on pulling it out and put the bit back in the set with the extension on it. Then, at the store, I had forgotten about it and went and bought the same bit holder again, and the useless thing went and got stuck to another bit! Not I have two bits in my set with these extensions on them. I really genuinely hate this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Metal Defect? Bit set looked like a great value - T25 bit was the first I used, and it sheared instantly at the "shockwave" zone when being used with a makita compact driver. Bad design, or bad run of metal? Hoping for the latter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Nice tools, but you'll want to fix the bit adapter As reviewer "Jason" points out in his review, it is possible to make the bits easier to remove from the adapter. His review helped me, but I didn't understand at first what he was referring to, so here's some more info and a picture... As it turns out, there is an internal snap ring a little ways inside the adapter opening that interfaces with indentations on the bit shanks. Sadly, this snap ring is too effective, resulting in the frustrating need to use pliers to remove the bits. Using a hook and a bit of patience, it is possible to remove the ring; however, in my case anyway, it will not be going back in any time soon, as it gets pretty mangled in the process. Removal will mean you're back to the possibility of the bit sticking to the screw head and coming out of the adapter when the driver is pulled back, but at least you can change the bits by hand. (I have a different Shockwave set than this one, which is not listed on their site, but this item had the most/any reviews, so figured this would be most helpful here. My set has a selection of lengths, including the 2" and 6", which are very useful and drove my purchase decision)

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from good The magnetic bit holder is very hard to take off! Other than that the bits are very good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Bits Break when used in my Impact driver I picked these up when I got my M18 Fuel hammer drill and impact driver kit last year. I sheared off all the Philips bit after only 2 days on a job. Now they are just sitting on the shelf in my shop -- maybe they would work fine in my non-impact drill, but I don't even bother because the performance was so poor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great Value, One Minor Gripe Bits and case look nice and are solid. I can tell that these will last a long time. I use them mostly for laser printer repair, but occasionally stuff around the house as well. My only gripe is the fact that the bit holder in the set is almost TOO secure. It can be rather difficult at times to remove the bits from the holder with bare fingers, forcing one to grab a pair of pliers to extract the bit.
