Rated 5 out of 5 by Aztlanteca from First time user Recently my old high school buddy asked me to help him on a massive project for a, let's just say, if I mention his name majority of you will know automatically who this big Hollywood hitter is. The job required huge amounts of wire and rewire for this gentle mans elaborate home entertainment system winding throughout almost the better part of his beautiful mansion. At first I was a little fearful when my boss & buddy handed me this product but my anxiety quickly melted away when to my surprise this tools ease in it's use, accuracy and speed became apparent. No complaints here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kd8cee from It justvworks!!! This product just simply works. I had a few problems with a mobile home and the Amprobe AT-1000 found all the problems in short order. I had wires that were burned complely through and was able to find them within an hour. 1 was in the front and two around the fuse box. Would have took me weeks and a possible fire if not for this tool. Best purchase I ever made, Thank you!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mitch94 from This Tracer has done everything I need. I have used this product, using all the attachments and in every concievable manner possible and it has worked without fail. If I had a failure it was because the hookup and not the operation of the tool. I have also used some of the other Amprobe tracers and Test Equipment and all have performed great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Haef from Nice, when it worked. The AT-1000 worked well for me until problems developed. First, I would suggest avoiding any of Amprobe's testers that feature the supposedly convenient drop-in battery compartment "feature". It has a poor contact design that became intermittent in the receiver over time. Since it was out of warranty at that point, I disassembled it to discover one of very fine wires connecting the battery contacts was broken off, and the other broke while I was fixing the first one! Then it developed a second problem where the receiver sensitivity became intermittent. At this point I decided to send it in for service, but discovered the fee to repair and recalibrate the unit was going to cost MORE than a new set sells for. Until I get around to taking a stab at fixing it myself, it sits on the shelf gathering dust. Too bad; I like Amprobe products, but this situation is both economically and environmentally disappointing. It also makes me hesitant to purchase a new tracer from them if they can't fix their products.
