Fluke FLUKE-87V/E2-KIT INDUSTRIAL is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 141.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Meter, horrible leads I purchased 87V + electricians kit yesterday. The meter works great, but the leads are horrible. The leads have a plastic covering up to two millimeters from the edge of the tips preventing the leads from being able to be inserted into plug receptacles! This must be a marketing decision from Fluke, to ensure greater, forced sales of other leads. Any, and all electricians will require different leads, and this decision by Fluke is unacceptable, especially on the 87v which isn't cheap to begin with, and is their top tier model. I'm returning the meter today. There are many other manufactures to choose from.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most accurate and dependable!!! I would definately recommend this meter the Fluke 87V true rms. I have been in the electrical indusrty for approx 30 yrs and Fluke has never let me down. This meter is very user friendly. it has a crystal clear dimmable led display which is very helpful in the field. Most importantly it is the most accurate and reliable meter I have ever used in my 30 yrs in the trade. This is my second Fluke 87 meter over the yrs and I would not hesitate to buy a third meter.. Another great feaure of my fluke meter is how durable it is. I have dropped my meter quite a few times and a few times off my ladder, I picked it up and it was in perfect working order....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Meter for the money This is the last meter you will buy! So many features packed into one kit . I am the service manager for our company and this meter gets me out of most spots From simple voltage to Frequency drives and Duty cycle it has it all , Frequency and current can be measured with the Clamp attachment ( AND ITS Within .5%) It replaced 5 different meters . Do not hesitate to buy. Plus the added leads make multiple base measurements a snap!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well build! The Fluke 87V is the father of all multimeters. These Fluke meters are tanks and can take the toughest job and survive!!! Build quality and accuracy all over. My boss has a Fluke 87 and after 12 years He checked the calibration and it was right on it...imagine after 12 years a meter that can hold the calibration like when it came out of the box!!!! That is when I realized these meters were the best and I had to have one. People that use Fluke meters will never look back to another meter brands. Hats off to Fluke for their excellent Multimeters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best techs use the best tools Many years ago I was told the best techs use fluke. He was right. I've been using fluke products for around 11 years. I replaced an 87 with this 87-v. I think it's the best meter on the market. Especially with the improved backlight temperature added and a few other new features. Fluke is incredibly accurate and maintains calibration. My understanding is that other products use electrolytic capacitors and over time they loose value. But fluke doesn't. Great products. Your onky gonna buy one once every 10-20 years so just go ahead and shell out the dough for the best. I also use a fluke 77, 29 II, and a 62 Max ir thermometer. By far the best products made! 77 stil dead on accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Worth The Price I've been using Fluke test equipment on and (much to my chagrin) off again for nearly 40 years. They have always been durable, reliable, accurate, and easy to use, and the 87V is no exception. I purchased the 87V to replace an aging 77 that "grew legs" and wandered off earlier this year. (Thinking back, I don't think I've ever had to replace a Fluke meter because it failed on me.) At first, I thought I could manage with a multimeter from another manufacturer. It worked, I suppose, but I missed my old 77 and decided to buy a new 87. I'm glad I did! And I'm looking forward to getting another one in about 30 years or so. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior Quality. Just received my Fluke 87v in the mail. The unit was supplied with a basic lead set with protective caps for Cat IV testing per IEC 61010-031k requirements. As compared to my Snap-on and Klein meters this Fluke is superior in quailty of build and function. I haven’t had it long enough to put it through all its paces, so I cannot comment on some of the other issues that other reviewers have posted. I have read on other online forums that Fluke sometimes charges a hefty fee for repairs even with the lifetime warranty. So only time will tell if my purchase was a complete success, however so far, I have no buyer’s remorse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Meter! Would have liked different leads The 87V is well known to be a rock solid meter. This has definitely been the case for me. No problems whatsoever with the meter. I mainly deal with circuit-level electronics so it is an annoyance that the current ranges default to AC current, but that is a minor complaint. It would be awesome if somehow this was user-configurable. My meter came with the extra-insulated leads but without the removable caps. I think they ship with removable caps now, but I could be mistaken. Fluke also sells leads with a retractable insulation. At the least, I would have preferred to receive the version with removable caps with the meter.
