Timers are used in many commercial, industrial and residential designs as a method to control energy. As an alternative to sensors or building controls, individual switch timers target point-of-use to enable the user to take control of the space and load, within limits. Preset timers are a simple on/off option to consider. By selecting a timer, the maximum on-time is established and control is maintained based on a reestablished regimen, adding to the building’s efficiency and energy savings. Timers in increments up to 30 and 60 minutes are excellent for use in indoor spaces. The 12 hour version is popular with outdoor lighting control and VAC where more on-time is required.
