Rated 5 out of 5 by from Peace of mind I just got my Generac Generator today. All I can say is WOW. The unit was very easy to set up and the engine is STRONG. I tested it today with the following: I ran (2) refridgerator/freezers, (2) TV's, a box fan and a lamp and the engine never slowed down. The unit is also very quiet. I could hardly hear it from inside the house. Sleeping should not be an issue during a power outage and my neighbors should not complain, other than wishing they had one. I highly recommend this unit. If you have a power outage, it should get you by until the power comes back on. Food will not spoil and you can still have a TV to keep you entertained.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great generator ! great price! I bought this generator first for the name .my dad has had several Generac generators in his life and swears by them. I initially was leary that they were out of my price range but after a little research I realized they weren't priced much different then any other brand. With that being said I was able to power refrigerator well pump lights and tv. All of which made life mich easier for everyone. The unit is small and very easy to use. Assembly was simple and operating the unit was a breeze..customer service is excellent and always able to answer any questions! I highly recommend Generac and I will only buy Generac in the future!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Engine Trouble After 22 months of owning this unit, and about 10 total hours of operation, my generator threw a rod spewing oil and metal parts onto my driveway. I had to drive 20 miles to a shop that would work with Generac's warranty program. (The four shops closer had stopped participating in the program due to low compensation for their work.) Just took it in today, we will see how it all works out. While is was operational, the unit provided power just as expected. Engine had oil (I checked before starting it the final time) and it has a low oil shutdown feature, so even if I hadn't checked, it should never fail due to low oil... Unless it is a one-time use feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding, really easy to use, and able to power up several appliances. This is the first time I purchased or operated or even came close to a generator. At first, I felt apprehensive, but the instructions were superb. The assembly of some of the parts were really easy. I was able to power my refrigerator, a portable cooking appliance and a lamp with no problem whatsoever. After I finished my cooking, I hooked up my television and accessories with no problem at all. I used it for several hours until the electricity came back up. I am really glad I made the purchase. In the future, I hope to buy a stand alone generator so that I will have electricity when I have a power outage which happens often in my area. I highly recommend this Generac portable generator.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The gen. does what I hoped for. Would buy again! Not all at the same time of course, but it ran my 8,000 btu a/c (7.5amps), 1200w toaster oven, and microwave (12.4amps). Bought for use of fridge and another small freezer. Was thinking of separate use, but the fridge uses 6.5 amps and the freezer less, so it would mostly likely run them both together. They don't have to run 24/7 to stay cold. My heating system has an emergency setting that doesn't need external electricity. Also bought ($20) a small timer that counts up to 90 hours, to help w/maintance times. Just have to remember to start/stop the timer. Generac should have the timer built in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GP3250 - Works Well! I'm an electrical contractor and I use my GP3250 frequently. Its light enough to lift in and out of my truck, runs very well and is quiet. Everything I was looking for in a generator and more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice little genset Great for limited use with excelent fuel economy. Nice circuit breaker & start/stop switch convienently located on panel---unlike its big brother the GP5500. One notable design flaw being the pull start is buried by panel & needs to be pulled on an angle resulting in both the loss of paint on the adjacent frame member and an appearing to begin fraying pull cord after 3-4 weeks useage. I hope they correct this bt placing the handle on the pull start outside of the pnel with the cord passing through a grommet in the panel. Time will tell. Also the breaker is rated below the rated outlets. This is border-line false advertising. I have a Dewalt circular saw rated at 15 amps that it will not run, even alone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from its a 3250 dont expect to power your entire house with this little gem. its easy to set up out of the box,,just dont wait until its 10 degrees to do it. starts on the first or second pull,,easy to pull also. it is less noisy,,i use noisy because "Quiet" sets you up for more than expected results. if your on a farm its quiet,,if your in a tight neighborhood,,,it's kinda loud,,,but,,you need power so too bad. no worse than a 2 cycle lawn mower,,you know,,a low roar rather than a 4 cycle assault .but it is 4 cycle so no mixing required. anyway,if your running a generator its cause were all in the same boat so not a big deal. for $429.00 its a steal especially if your really getting cold and your parents live at the other end of the country.
