Way too sensitive
Like the other guy said, this thing is way too sensitive to be of any use. It practically goes off just being in an electrical room, forget about trying to distinguish between 2 wires

Battery life Too short!
I Use every working day +/- 2 hours a day batteries last about a week my other led will go for 3-4 weeks And I almost never use the Voltage Detector Just like to have just in case May-be I use the VD once every 2 months If the battery would last longer I would give it 5 stars, But because I go thru batteries it get's 2 stars. <><

Flir VP50 Thumbs down.
I was really excited to purchase this tool after seeing its features, but was really disapointed by its lack of functionality. The flashlight works ok and is water proof, (dropped in a fish tank). The big thumbs down: 1. The voltage sensor is way too sensitive. it cant tell me the difference between a hot and non energized wire in the same box. 2. There is no audible alarm. you cant stick it into an outlet then walk to another room and hear the state of the tool.
